Text: 1Sam 3:10 NET Then the LORD came and stood nearby, calling as he had previously done, “Samuel! Samuel!” Samuel replied, “Speak, for your servant is listening!”
This week I would like us to practise listening. Just as Samuel realised that God was trying to speak to him, after praying and trusting God through the year, i sense it is time to listen for His voice. If we could say Lord, speak to me. I am listening!
It can be very reassuring. Let us pray.
- Let us thank God for the Word we have received. Thank God for preserving your life. It is of His mercies we are not consumed. God has kept you by His power and for a purpose.
- Now pray that the Lord will speak to you and make clear anything that is unclear. Pray that His light will shine upon your heart. It is a season of great joy. Pray that your heart will know the joy of the LORD.
- Pray that every obstacle hindering you from hearing the Lord be removed. Instead, let there be direction for you.
- Finally, thank God for visiting you. Thank Him for speaking to you. Thank Him for sending help from the sanctuary. You will not be ashamed. The Lord will visit you and you will rejoice. Amen
