Psa 3:5 KJV I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
It was a difficult situation for David when he wrote this psalm. He had the spoken word over his life. He had been waiting for the fulfilment. Here he was running away from his son, as though the trouble will never end. He learnt to appreciate God each time he slept and woke up because indeed; it was God sustaining him. You may feel weary waiting and it feels like the wait will never end. Be rest assured that it is God sustaining you. Choose to hold on to Him, even if you don’t see the promise. Tell yourself, ” The Lord sustains me” repeatedly. Whatever comes your way, let that be your confession.
Let us pray.
1. Thank God for bringing you this far. Waiting can be a pain, but thank God He sustains you. He has you in His thoughts and will come for you.
2. Pray that you will experience His power this week as you go about your routine. Pray that God will multiply grace to you in all areas. That the Lord will keep you focused on Him and preserved from evil.
3. Pray that God will lead you in all you do. That you will not fall into temptation but be delivered from every evil. Ask the Lord to order your steps by the Spirit into you.
4. Pray that your joy will be full as you walk with the Lord. That your heart will know His peace and that the word you are holding on to will be made flesh in your life. Thank God because you are taking a step further to cross paths with your spouse this week by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
