Neh 8:10 NET He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
In a time where so many things around us are ready to sap our strength, it would be detrimental for us if we allow them steal our moments and live in perpetual unhappiness and anxiety.
Today, we are encouraged to focus on the JOY of the Lord. It is what keeps our strength increased. It ensures a refill and keeps us going. This means, more JOY, more strength. If we focus on circumstances around, we will grieve, but if we depend on the Lord and His word, strength will rise.
Be determined to rejoice in the Lord this new week. Make Him happy and you will find strength to go through the week in JOY. Let us pray.
- Thank God for the Word we have received today. There is joy in the Lord that we can enjoy daily. We don’t grieve as the world does, but we find our peace in the master.
- Commit your life to Him, all your cares and burdens upon the Lord. Tell the Lord you are taking your eyes off the worry and you respond to the JOY He supplies. Those worries cannot be compared to His mighty power at work in you.
- Receive the JOY of the Lord into your heart and declare you and every area of life is a JOY filled zone. Your joy is intact and nothing can and will steal your joy, in Jesus’ name. We render every joy bursters powerless in Jesus’ name. Declare that your trust is in the Lord.
- Prophesy to yourself over and over, declaring that the JOY of the Lord is your strength and you are confident that God is with you and for you. There is no place for grief, sadness, or sorrow in Jesus’ name. Amen.
