Focus on the Lord

Psa 27:1-3 KJV 1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

It’s a new week, a new season for us. Today, we shall pray about focusing on the Lord. There will always be things calling for our attention. The things we desire, people around us, can make us lose our focus. We are encouraged to deliberately fix our eyes on the Lord. If we don’t, we will be distracted and make room for every form of worry. Let us pray.

  1. Thank God because He is your keeper. Bless His Name because He is your light and salvation. He will come and save you.
  2. Pray that your confidence in Him will not be shaken. Pray that your heart will know courage as you walk with the Lord.
  3. Cast out every imagination and thought, contending with the word over your life. Declare that the Lord is with you and you are victorious. You will sing songs of victory by His word. Your heart shall not fear, you will not stumble and fall in Jesus’ name.
  4. Finally, thank God for this week. Your eyes will be fixed on His word alone and you shall know His peace in Jesus’ name. Amen.
