Doing Good

Gal 6:7-10 NET 7 Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows, 8 because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. 9 So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.

The words of the Lord are pure words. He loves us so much and keeps assuring us with His word. Today, there is a focus on doing good, sowing good seeds. We will surely reap what we sow. There is a harvest coming and you never know where, when, or how far that seed would go.

Don’t be tired of sowing good, in fact be deliberate about it and look for opportunities in the new year. I have testimonies of how God showed up for me just by little acts of kindness I did in the past. They came back to me when I wasn’t expecting anything, in wonderful ways. Let us pray.

  1. Thank God for the hope we have in Him. Thank Him because your prayers are answered and God is working things out for your sake.
  2. Pray that you will be more intentional in doing good. That God will lead and guide your heart to sow in the Spirit and by the Spirit.
  3. Pray that God will strengthen your faith and your heart to do good despite what people may have done to you in the past. May they renew your strength for good deeds in Jesus’ name.
  4. Pray that God will open your eyes to opportunities where you can be God’s vessel of change and honour. Commit yourself to God and take that step. Amen.
