1Pe 2:13-15 KJV 13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. 15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
Today, we shall focus on submission first to God and to every ordinance as it pleases the Lord. I tell you, what makes this work possible is if we are doing it for the Lord’s sake. It is very vital in relationship. Praying helps the mind to comply.
Prayer points
- Let us thank God for today and for His sustenance. Thank Him because He is with us and holding your hand.
- Pray for grace to yield to His purpose in your life. Pray for a submissive heart before the Lord. To His will and not your will.
- Pray that God will enable you to submit to every ordinance in your life. Be it your future husband, those in authority. That the Lord will give you wisdom to navigate the path of life.
- Finally, pray that as you walk with God and your spouse, you will not be ashamed. Instead, the expectations of evil and foolish men will be silenced. Your marriage will work in Jesus’ name. Amen.
